Photography found me in the most unexpected way and it became my world ever since. I’ve always believed that life takes its own turns to lead us exactly where we’re meant to be. After completing college, I began my career as a graphic designer, excited about the creative journey ahead. But in 2015, the company I worked for suddenly shut down, I was forced to look for a new path.

When we were in love, my wife Rakshana had applied for a job at a photography studio. I had no idea until one day I got a call from the studio asking for my portfolio. Impressed with my work, they called me for an assessment.

Though I knew designing well, I got nervous during the assessment. But instead of judging me, the studio owner spoke kindly. He said, “Karthick,  graphic designing is different, but here it’s all about visual designing. He informed that there would be 15 days of training. Don’t worry Just learn.”

That moment gave me a second chance. I accepted the challenge and started working as a visual designer and photo re-toucher, learning every single day. One day, my mentor asked me to join a wedding shoot as an assistant photographer. That was the day my passion took shape.

A few months later, at a Brahmin wedding in Hyderabad, due to the main photographer’s absence, my mentor trusted me and had asked me to cover traditional photography. Nervous but determined, I picked up the camera and that became my first wedding shoot as a photographer. Seeing my work and passion, my mentor encouraged me to grow in this field.

I spent years learning lighting, framing, composition, and storytelling from my mentor and senior photographers. Every assignment, every event, every image made me fall deeper in love with this art. Within a year, I grew into a candid photographer, and not long after, became a team leader at the company. I worked there until February 2019, gathering experience, confidence, and a vision.

Then came the turning point. Together with Rakshana, who has been my strongest support from the beginning, we decided to build something of our own - that reflected our shared passion and dreams. She came up with the name “Studio Livfe” and in March 2019, we officially began our journey.

Our very first wedding shoot marked the start of a dream that has only grown bigger since then. What began as a two-person team is today a name trusted by hundreds of couples. We’ve covered over 300 weddings across Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Bangalore, capturing emotions, love and timeless memories.

Photography isn’t just our profession it’s our story, our passion, and our way of freezing fleeting moments into forever. Studio Livfe stands as a testament to how a small dream can grow into something truly meaningful when built with love, hard work, and trust.
